Our Club Pin

Marston Green & District Lions Club has been in existence since 1977 when it was formed in Marston Green Maternity Hospital. Only one of the original founders, Wim, is still a member but the club is still going strong.

Our Christmas Sleigh

Our main fund raising activities are our Christmas Sleigh, pictured here , and our Race Night with a Difference.

During the summer we go to a number of fetes and carnivals where we raise money face painting, running a Disney tombola and operating pick-a-key and roll-a-dice games.

One of our litter picks

Our service activities comprise a mixture of doing and donating, the doing including bi annual litter picks and Young at Heart nights. When donating to another cause we always look for ways to pay for specific equipment or fund a particular activity rather than just blindly giving the money. In the past year we have donated over £15,000 to good causes including nearly £10,000 to pay for a spinal operation to help a young girl with cerebral palsy walk.
